The DiMAX Feedback module monitors change in the status of track contacts, reed switches, turnout switches, and certain digital track sections, and relays change in status to the central station where a pre-programmed action, such as throwing a switch, turning a light on or off, or passing the information on to a computer, is initiated.
Depending on how it is programmed, a feedback module can detect the passage of a train, its direction of travel, or its location.
Each feedback module can monitor up to 8 inputs. Multiple feedback modules can be interconnected in a master/slave configuration with the master module connected directly to the central station via a bus cable.

The Massoth DiMAX Train Detection Module monitors track voltage and current drain in certain sections of digital track. The module signals the presence of track voltage when voltage is detected, and the occurrence of a current drain only when the drain exceeds one of 2 user selected trigger thresholds (5mAmps or 25mAmps).
Each Train Detection Module is able to monitor 2 track sections at a time. The 2 sections have separate isolated inputs allowing operation with two distinct electrical circuits.
The Train Detection module module has 2 outputs for track voltage monitoring and 2 for current drain detection. When these outputs are connected to a Massoth feedback Module, the Train Detection Module can be used to indicate the presence or absence of a train in specific sections of digital track.

The Massoth Digital track contacts are magnetically-controlled, wear-free contact switches that deliver a control pulse when triggered. They fit between the rails of most G gauge track segments, and may be triggered by a passing locomotive with a magnet attached to the underside of its gearbox. When used in conjunction with a Massoth feedback module, they can signal the passage of a train, the direction of it travel, or its location.
The Massoth Digital track contacts require a power supply, they may be powered through a connection to either the digital track or an external power supply.
The Massoth Digital track contacts can only be used with digital systems; they are not suitable for analog operations.

The Massoth Loco Magnets may be used to trigger Massoth's Digital Track contacts or LGB®'s 17100 Track Contacts. They may also be used to trigger other magnetically sensitive devices such as reed switches, and hall effect sensors.
